No Such Thing as a Laundry Fairy?!
I don't believe in fairies really....
Sky had mentioned that there is a tooth fairy. My response was"Do you think there is a Laundry Fairy too?" She said "Omm sure!" She seemed kind of confused about this question. How could she not believe in a laundry fairy too. I mean she still believes that a big fat guy with a bright red suit and a freakishly long beard is the deliverer of all the presents listed in the world.
But when I heard there was a "Laundry Fairy," my whole view of fairies changed.
I became intoxicated with the idea that a beautiful Laundry Fairy would show up at my house and do, all my laundry. Washing it, drying it, sorting it, and putting it away.I started to will her to come to my house.
As anyone can tell you about me I am terrible at doing laundry. I don't mind washing it or drying it for that matter. It is the putting away that I hate. So there the clothes will sit. For weeks and Tim will start to tell me he hates playing Jenga. Which is, in laundry terms pulling the clothes out of the huge stack in order to get clean clothes. I however have become a master Jenga laundry player and have no idea of what he can be complaining about.
So for weeks, Tim will say it is months,(I might have to agree on this with him) I have been praying that the laundry fairy to show up. She didn't come until recently. All of a sudden I walked into the laundry room(the garage) and found that all the laundry was separated in white containers per each family member. What I could not believe it.
My eyes began to well with tears."YEAH!!"
"She came! She came!" I ran into the house like Santa himself had magically appeared.
Skylar, Kiki and Phoenix looked at me like I have officially lots my marbles. Which I have been preparing them for months on the idea.
To my disappointment Skylar says to me,"Are you calling Daddy a fairy?"
Kiki thought that this was the funniest thing that she has ever heard and busts out laughing.
Then Kiki said, "Silly girls, Daddy's not a fairy he is a pooperanski"
Which, in our family means we really love each other.

Freaky I know but I still think there is a laundry fairy. Even if he is Tim.
The difference between the laundry fairy and Tim is that only one of the aforementioned expects sexual favors in return.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff, honey.
